ResponsibilitiesAscension Saint Agnes is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist to serve as Section Chief of the Cardiology Department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Agnes to provide physician leadership and medical services to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of healthcare delivered under the aegis of assigned area.
- Assume bottom-line responsibility for assigned capital and operating budgets.
- Meet or exceed budgeted target.
- Supervise subsections.
- Oversee deployment of staff, employee development, performance and satisfaction.
- Review credentials, procedures, skills and clinical performance.
- Monitor safety and adverse events.
- Prepare regular performance reports.
- Develop needed inpatient and outpatient care systems, organizes and directs inpatient services, call schedule, and/or outpatient care.
- Contribute to education of residents, students and staff.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
