AIML - Data Infrastructure Software Engineer, Machine Learning Platform and TechnologiesPay: CompetitiveEmployment type: OtherJob DescriptionReq#: 200480836SummaryThe Data Infrastructure group within the AI/ML organization powers analytics, experimentation, and ML feature engineering that enable the Machine Learning technologies in our Apple devices. Our mission is to provide cutting-edge, reliable, and user-friendly infrastructure for ingesting, storing, processing, and interacting with data, while ensuring privacy and security for Apple’s users.Key Qualifications5 years of experience in software engineering with strong fundamentals in computer science.Proficiency in data structures and algorithms, with the ability to produce high-quality code, test cases, and review pull requests in a fast-paced environment.Expertise in one or more programming languages such as Scala or Java.Fluency in scripting or systems programming languages like Python, Bash, or Go.Experience with distributed data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Flink.Knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is a plus.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written.DescriptionThis role involves managing petabytes of data for machine learning applications, designing and implementing frameworks for scalable data processing workflows, and building efficient ML pipelines. Responsibilities include ensuring data lineage and legal workflow integration, optimizing system performance and scalability, monitoring system health, and resolving issues. The candidate will work on cutting-edge technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background, experience with cloud platforms, and familiarity with distributed databases.Education & ExperienceBS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.Additional RequirementsPay & Benefits: The base pay range is $170,700 to $300,200, depending on skills, experience, and location. Employees may participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical, dental, retirement, discounts, and educational reimbursement. Bonuses, commissions, and relocation may also be available.
