ContractJob DescriptionOverview:We are urgently looking for a Sr. Software Engineer for our client that will handle the following duties for the company:Maintain website by addressing and fixing site issues and defectsEnsure code quality with unit tests by using test-driven development Provide feedback through code reviews and peer programming techniquesDocument code implementation within the codebase and on the wikiWhen tools, automation, or innovative functionality is needed, researches and develops latest technologiesInteract with product and project managers to understand requirements that will be implementedCollaborate with search, mobile and other engineering teams to design and implement consumer featuresWork together with team members to plan, break-down and implement functional tasksQualificationsQualifications/Skills:Web development experience (professional and/or academic) using any of these technologies: Java, Python, Perl or Ruby Experience with Jade and Less is a plusNode.js experience is highly desired; at the very least, candidate should have strong desire and aptitude to work with NodeExperience developing web sites utilizing lightweight web services is a plusAttributes for the Role:Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple prioritiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsAble to work with cross-functional leads in engineering, product, QA, and operationsWell versed in agile practices and collaborative developmentAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
