Salary: $73,000 - $124,000 annually with additional bonus potential. Roles & Responsibilities Food Safety: Must comply with all GMPs, SQF requirements, and other Food Safety related items as deemed necessary by the company. Ensure that all direct reports comply with all Company Food Safety Policies and federal regulations. Maintain compliance with all Plant Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations in accordance with Company Best Practices, Policies, and required government regulations. Ensure that all direct reports also comply with all Safety requirements in accordance with Company Policies and Government regulations. Provide input in department and program development; foster Continuous Improvement and team environment; act as facility advocate for Food Safety and Quality; monitor and implement policies, programs, rules and regulations for compliance. Troubleshoot and problem solve as needed. Assess QA programs’ efficacy; coordinate and administer QA programs and workflow. Investigate consumer/customer complaints and develop response and corrective actions. Supervise hourly Associates and Team Leaders/Coordinators to ensure that an efficient and effective workflow is created day-to-day. Oversee QA lead/lab tech daily functions as well as develop the work schedule for all technicians. In the absence of the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Manager or quality lead covers responsibilities. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list of all tasks; additional tasks and duties may be assigned from time to time as necessitated by business needs. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or related field required. Proficient and effective use of communication and Microsoft Office. Manufacturing and Food Industry Experience preferred. Food Processing related certification is a plus. Highly organized and work well under pressure; work independently as well as under supervision. Effective interpersonal and leadership skills required. Willing to accept responsibility and show good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness. Cross functional in all areas of department, troubleshoot and correct issues. Work with facility leadership and Corporate FS&Q to execute the plant's required FS&Q employee training program. Develop team member skill sets by conducting evaluations and recommending development opportunities by continuing education, seminars, trade shows and other methods. Strong advocate of compliance, experienced trainer, and accomplished supervisor of technical resources with a proven record in building and motivating successful FS&Q efforts. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and their interpretation such as Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, Risk-based Preventative Controls, Stability Guidelines, Sanitation practices and Sanitary Design as it relates to food manufacturing. Possess sound reasoning ability, analytical, and creative skills to investigate problems and recommend and implement solutions. Efficient computer skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint required; familiarity with web-based programs preferred including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) along with SAP, Infinity-QS and Tracegains.
