Join to apply for the Sr. Software Engineer role at StarzJob DescriptionThe Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering innovative user experiences for our consumer-facing streaming application on the WebTV platform. This role involves close collaboration with product owners, UX designers, and both front-end and back-end engineers to help build the next-generation video streaming platform for consumers.ResponsibilitiesCreate best-in‑class content discovery and video streaming experiences for STARZ subscribers across multiple streaming platforms.Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure products are of high quality and performance.Work collaboratively with members of the broader Digital Platforms team—including leadership, QA professionals, designers, business analysts, and software engineers in an open, creative environment.Serve as a subject matter expert in STARZ web applications and related service APIs.Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle:Architecture and designObject‑oriented developmentUnit testing / test‑driven developmentIntegration testingDeploymentMaintenancePost‑deployment production support and troubleshootingQualifications and Skills5+ years of experience in enterprise or consumer software developmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)Expertise in frameworks such as Angular, React, Next.js, and Node.js.Demonstrated experience in developing consumer‑facing user interfaces and supporting UI components.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to diagnose, debug, and resolve issues effectively.Experience with video playback systems, particularly in managing DRM‑protected content using DASH, Widevine, and PlayReady.
