All while understanding that **together** we are even better.**Schedule:** 13 week Contract**Shifts** : Weekend Nights Fri, Sat, Sun 7p-7a**Location:** 2201 S CLEAR CREEK RD, Killeen, 76549**The community you’ll be caring for:**§ Located in the heart of Texas, AdventHealth Central Texas and AdventHealth Rollins Brook provide care for the citizens of Bell, Coryell and Lampasas counties.§ Both AdventHealth Central Texas and AdventHealth Rollins Brook are committed to reinvesting in the community by offering the services, technologies, and facilities to set the standard with the continually changing healthcare industry.§ As a member of our team of more than 1,000 employees you will enjoy competitive salaries, exceptional benefits and opportunities for growth while working in an environment that is centered around our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.**The role you’ll contribute:**Performs procedures, including neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following specific guidelines of the facilities parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams. Positions, moves, and assists patients. Performs clerical duties. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Responsibility to adhere to the Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.**The value you’ll bring to the team:**· Performs all exams using established protocols. Uses facility policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exams. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patients for any contrast allergies.· Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps workflow moving, and minimizes empty table time. Follows through after completing exams with communication and transportation of patients.· Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors, monitors, and other medical equipment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform x-rays and scans on patients on all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.· Properly screens patients of childbearing age, and operates all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers. Practices infection control standards, and utilizes approved PPE and disinfectant agents. Maintains a properly stocked, organized and clean room. Performs vendor required QA on CT scanners and other ionizing equipment as required. Employee job duties may include transport of pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling pharmaceutical waste) to include proper handling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment, if applicable.· Reviews all images of all exams, repeating images as necessary for best possible result. If necessary notify physician of emergent findings according to established protocol· Uses computer system for ordering, changing, and canceling exams according to protocol. Confirms order matches exam before pushing to PACS or correctly ‘fixes’ exams on workstation or PACS.· Assists with collection of data entry for all process improvement projects realizing final goals of department. Maintains a knowledge and understanding of process improvement initiatives for the department.**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:****Minimum qualifications** :· Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification· Completion of Radiologic Technology training and A.R.R.T. registration· Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License - MRT· 1-2 years minimum hospital-based clinical radiology experience**Preferred qualifications** :· Computed Tomography A.R.R.T.(CT) certificationThis facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
