Position: Senior Application DeveloperLocation: Rockville, MDScope: Serves as a Senior member of a software development team on a major IT services contract for the U.S. NavyResponsibilities: The Senior Application Developer leads the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, ensuring they meet user needs and align with organizational objectives. In this role, the developer collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and design high-quality, scalable applications tailored to business needs using modern development tools and frameworks. With expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python and other scripting languages, the developer creates and refines applications while addressing technical challenges through rigorous debugging and analysis. Should be familiar with Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications and other office automation libraries.This position also involves developing and maintaining applications on platforms like SharePoint and ServiceNow, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems and optimizing workflows to align with organizational goals. The developer is responsible for managing and enhancing configuration management databases (CMDB), including legacy CMDBs and ServiceNow’s CMDB, ensuring accurate data, dependency mapping, and efficient change management processes. They support robust data and workflow integrations between systems, leveraging ServiceNow modules for ITSM, ITOM, and HR workflows as applicable.The Senior Application Developer executes comprehensive testing strategies to ensure applications are reliable, secure, and performant. They continuously maintain, optimize, and enhance existing applications, including SharePoint sites and ServiceNow modules, to ensure long-term reliability and efficiency. Additionally, they provide support and guidance for migrating legacy systems and CMDBs to modern, centralized solutions to improve scalability and streamline management processes.Qualifications: Master’s level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science with 10 years of professional experience in computer design, software development, and computer networks.Security Clearance: TBDSalary: $100K – $140KBenefits: We designed our employee benefits program around the goal of improving the quality of life for each employee.
