Project Engineer

Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus and Stock options Geotechnical & Materials Position Summary We are seeking a Project Engineer for integrated engineering services, focusing on subsurface stability (Geotechnical) and construction quality assurance (Materials Testing). This role is key to ensuring the success and integrity of our clients' construction projects. Key Responsibilities Geotechnical Engineering: Design and manage subsurface investigations (borings, CPT, etc.). Perform analyses and provide foundation recommendations for shallow foundations, deep foundations, retaining walls, and earth retention systems. Prepare professional geotechnical reports and construction support documentation. Manage and execute comprehensive field and laboratory QA/QC programs for construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, steel). Perform and oversee Special Inspections (IBC compliance). Direct field technicians, interpret test results, and provide solutions for materials‑related issues. Project Management: Serve as the primary client contact from proposal to project closeout. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and internal/external resources. Qualifications Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering required; M.S. in Geotechnical or Materials Engineering preferred. Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a Must. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in geotechnical consulting and/or construction materials testing. Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (ACI, NICET, ICC) are a significant asset. Skills: Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software, strong technical writing, and effective client communication.
