Required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university
  • Active California RN License.
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Oncology
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
  • EPIC experience

Responsibilities
  • Provide age-specific, patient-centered care with sensitivity to cultural and individual diversity, following nursing standards and practices. 
  • Assess, triage, and expedite appropriate care for patients with complex or life-threatening conditions, using critical reasoning and clinical judgement. 
  • Coordinate and deliver nursing consultation, follow-up, and care management through face-to-face encounters or telecommunications, ensuring continuity of care. 
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and deliver patient education materials, addressing the unique learning needs of the oncology population. 
  • Act as a patient advocate and partner, supporting patients and families in managing their health care, respecting their individual goals, treatment preferences, and cultural values. 
  • Apply performance improvement methods to identify and enhance patient care services and clinical outcomes, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. 
  • Demonstrate leadership by mentoring staff, promoting team collaboration, and participating in staff development and competency evaluation. 
  • Assist clinic management with operational needs, including preparing patients for procedures, coordinating care, and managing patient communications across the continuum of care.
