Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university
- Active California RN License.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Oncology
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
- EPIC experience
Skills and Ability
- Knowledge in Oncology
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in assigned work area
- Knowledge of current theories, principles, practices, standards, emerging technologies, techniques and approaches in the nursing profession, the health care system, the responsibility and accountability for the outcome of practice
- Knowledge of medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights

Responsibilities
- Provide age-specific, patient-centered care with sensitivity to cultural and individual diversity, following nursing standards and practices.
- Assess, triage, and expedite appropriate care for patients with complex or life-threatening conditions, using critical reasoning and clinical judgement.
- Coordinate and deliver nursing consultation, follow-up, and care management through face-to-face encounters or telecommunications, ensuring continuity of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and deliver patient education materials, addressing the unique learning needs of the oncology population.
- Act as a patient advocate and partner, supporting patients and families in managing their health care, respecting their individual goals, treatment preferences, and cultural values.
- Apply performance improvement methods to identify and enhance patient care services and clinical outcomes, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
- Demonstrate leadership by mentoring staff, promoting team collaboration, and participating in staff development and competency evaluation.
- Assist clinic management with operational needs, including preparing patients for procedures, coordinating care, and managing patient communications across the continuum of care.
