The company is in stealth mode and supported by a major VC with a track record of launching fast-growing AI ventures. They are preparing for a large Series A fundraiser and growth from under 20 to around 200-1000 employees within 12 months as they scale manufacturing. The organization has a values-led culture and leadership team of award-winning scientists and AI industry leaders. This is an opportunity to join at the forefront of multiple technological advances. The Role The Head of Finance will build out FP&A and Strategic Finance, developing financial modelling, strategic planning and insightful analysis to drive performance and shape the company’s direction. The role offers exposure to the CEO and executive team and the chance to influence growth decisions. Responsibilities include working with multiple teams to improve performance and preparing for future funding rounds as the business scales. Responsibilities Own the development of exceptional financial modelling Establish forecasting and budgeting processes (FP&A) Work closely with the CEO as an Executive Business Partner Build KPIs and analytics to interpret complex data for decision makers Establish robust budgeting processes for AI R&D and product development Produce mid and long-term strategic planning Liaise with and manage complex government contracts Produce monthly Board reporting with detailed commentary Partner with multiple teams to challenge numbers and improve performance Create dashboards and improve forecasting accuracy Prepare the business for future funding rounds What We Need Experience in an established tech business or fast-growth VC-backed scale-up with significant funding Exceptional financial modelling skills High level of commercial acumen and strategic thinking to shape new markets and opportunities Nice to Have Experience in a VC-backed tech start-up with >$100m raised Experience in a business with complex manufacturing Experience dealing with government contracts R&D heavy environments Leading international teams with multiple entities Establishing FP&A and Accounting processes in a VC-backed start-up (ideally AI) Salary $350,000 to $450,000 + bonus + share options Start Date ASAP To apply or explore more about this role, contact Fin at fin@harmonicfinance.com Feel free to share this opportunity with your network.
