**Job Title:** Technologist

**Shift:** 8-hour shifts, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, no major holidays, no weekends, no on-call
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging preferred (SPECT/CT/PET/MR/Optical fusion imaging)
**License:** Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
**Certifications:**
- Current registration in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT (NM))
- At least one of the following advanced certifications: NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), ARRT(CT), ARRT(MR)
- NIH Human Subjects Protection in Research Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR

**Must-Have:**
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology
- Working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
- Ability to rely on experience, judgment, and time management skills to plan and accomplish goals
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and colleagues

**Job Description:**
- Monitor overall condition of patients, checking for skin changes and other symptoms, and consult with physicians as needed
- Inspect equipment safety interlocks and monitor for malfunctions; report as necessary
- Perform clerical and technical duties such as filing, scheduling appointments, and maintaining supplies in treatment rooms
- Attend patient care conferences
- Foster professional relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues
- Maintain confidentiality of hospital information
- Adhere to established infection control and safety procedures
- Perform other duties as needed

**Education Requirements:**
- Bachelor's of Science in a scientific field with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program, or
- Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program plus 2 years of experience

**Knowledge and Skills:**
- Analytical skills to determine proper setup of equipment and patient treatment
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and communicate sensitively with patients
