Job Description * 15,000 sign on bonus to eligible RNs* Sign On Bonus $15,000.00 Virtual Interviews Join our team Laredo Medical Center's (LMC) Labor and Delivery unit is now hiring a full-time RN Patient Navigator to work in our fast paced L&D department at LMC's 326 bed acute care hospital. The department is a secure, 15 LDR unit with 2 OR's 3 recovery rooms and 4 triage rooms in the main campus of Laredo Medical Center. Opportunities to cross-train and float to the other women service are available with experience. This units report directly to the Director of Women's services. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Sign-on bonus available for eligible applicants Skype or other Virtual Interviewing Processes (VIP) is available for out-of-town applicants. Read a full position description: Position's Purpose and Essential Functions: Responsible for providing support to the patient from admissions to discharge through complex healthcare environment for the optimization of care and outcomes. Facilitates the patient admissions process. The RN Patient Navigator demonstrates accountability for and contribution to the patient experience, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in flexible interdisciplinary fashion. Will also be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, supporting, and evaluating patient care on a patient care unit in response to individual patients' physical, social emotional needs according to physician orders and LMC policy & procedure. Applicants Job Requirements Include: Education: * Required: Associate's degree in nursing. * Required: Graduate of an accredited RN program. Experience: * Required: At least two (2) year's experience in related field. Preferred: Previous experience in Women's Services departments. Required: Customer service experience. Required: Computer and internet skills. Licenses/Certifications: * Required: Must have a valid RN license to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas. * Required: Current BLS required within 30 days of hire. * Required: ACLS within 3 months of hire. * Required: NRP within 6 month of hire. * Letter(s) of Recommendation are preferred for applicants with less than 1 year of applicable experience in nursing. * Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. * *Sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates*
