Please do not apply if you do not possess this level of clearance.OverviewGliaCell is seeking a Senior/Principal Frontend UI/UX Engineer for a full-time position supporting a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems for a large government contract.Key ResponsibilitiesTransition a legacy Python application into a modern web app.Collaborate with customers and project managers to understand, design, and create new user interfaces using Next.js.Utilize TailwindCSS, ReactJS, and TypeScript in frontend development.Ensure code quality for maintainability and IntelliSense; perform code reviews for frontend and backend changes.Have a general understanding of Docker to support deployments across different systems.Key Requirements14 to 20+ years of experience.Bachelor’s in computer science (or related field) or 18 years of experience without the degree.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Key SkillsNext.js, TypeScript, Cypress Testing, Docker, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Python (helpful for backend collaboration).Location: Columbia, MDTelework: Up to 2 days per weekSalary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000.00 to $240,000.00. Salary is determined by position, level, skills, experience, education, and certifications.
