QA Engineer

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. We are currently seeking a QA Tester to join our team. Responsibilities Solution Delivery Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for backend services, integrations, and end‑to‑end workflows. Use common testing frameworks and tools for automation, including unit testing, mocking, and browser‑based test automation. Support and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable validation and regression coverage. Assist with test data management and environment setup using containerized or scripted configurations. Collaborate with developers to define and meet appropriate test coverage expectations throughout the development lifecycle. Participate in sprint activities to review quality results, address defects, and identify opportunities to strengthen testing practices. Quality and Standards Contribute to the refinement of internal testing standards, patterns, and documentation. Partner with technical leaders to align test automation approaches with broader engineering and DevOps practices. Help build reusable templates, examples, and reference materials to drive consistent automation across teams. Identify ways to improve test execution efficiency, stability, and reporting. Support a quality‑first culture by working with developers on unit testing and integration testing best practices. Collaboration and Communication Work with QA team members to convert manual regression and acceptance tests into automated scripts. Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to ensure test coverage aligns with priorities and risk areas. Share results, trends, and test insights through dashboards and reporting tools. Engage in retrospectives and team discussions to provide feedback on testing methods, tools, and pipeline performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least three years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation. Experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools for unit, integration, and E2E testing. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated validation, and scripting languages such as C# or TypeScript. Understanding of containerized environments and cloud‑based development workflows. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery teams. Hands‑on work with cloud platforms and automated deployment pipelines. Exposure to broader QA standards, reusable templates, and test framework development.
