What we do: We develop solutions for psychology research, with a specialization in psychophysiology, or the measurement of physiological phenomena as a means to better understand and quantify mental state. Our community of researchers use our products to better understand a number of mental health concerns and at-risk populations, including veterans with PTSD, teenagers struggling with suicidal ideation, perfectionism, depression, and parent-child relationships, to name a few. Our roadmap ultimately leads us beyond the lab and into the communities that can benefit directly from these solutions.

Who we are: We are a small team of driven individuals based in Columbus, Ohio and scattered across the United States with a passion for helping others and delivering the best possible tools to the psychology research community. As a small team serving thousands of researchers, we certainly work hard, but we find plenty of time to have fun during weekly staff meetings, monthly virtual happy hours, and annual in-person gatherings.

Who you are: As a Production Technician, we are looking for someone with a specific combination of personality- and skill-based traits:

  • You have a background in technology and understand concepts including, but not limited to, wireless/wired networking, Windows PC configuration and use, audio/video technologies, product assembly, quality control testing, and shipping/receiving. Any experience with laboratory equipment, psychology research, or measuring physiology is a bonus, but not required.
  • You enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in providing a well built, tested product to the customer. Experience with common tools (screwdrivers, drills, etc) is a must. Experience with a soldering iron and a multimeter/oscilloscope is ideal, but not required.
  • You have experience reading and interpreting technical documentation. Experience reading wiring diagrams and schematics is ideal, but not required.
  • You are highly organized, and would enjoy maintaining a clean lab, warehouse, and digital workspace.
  • You are a lifelong learner and appreciate the opportunity to learn new things. You arent afraid to try something you have never done before.
  • You believe strongly in the idea that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Experience in any/all of these areas can be replaced with a strong drive to learn and adapt.

What you will do at MindWare: While several of us are based around the country and working remotely, our headquarters in Westerville, Ohio houses our warehouse and production facility, referred to as the Lab. As a Production Technician, you will be required to work daily in the office to complete the tasks assigned to you.

The Production Technician role will require you to participate in a variety of activities, including:

  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build and test products. These include small electronic components and larger mechanical assemblies
  • Performing initial diagnosis and troubleshooting for incoming repairs, eventually performing the repairs as well
  • Assist with prototyping new products with direction from engineering
  • Picking/packing/shipping orders
  • Receiving items and managing inventory
  • Interacting with customers regarding repairs and hardware issues
  • Provide software and hardware technical support on occasion
