BIM Specialist-Mechanical Pipe

Job Description/Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating mechanical pipe and/or plumbing systems for a mechanical contractor.
Proficient in 3D modeling of piping systems using Autocad MEP or Revit (Autocad preferred)
Ability to make decisions to resolve conflicts during coordination of mechanical and plumbing systems.
Ability to work closely with project management and coordination team to develop construction shop drawings.
Ability to work well under pressure
Good communication skills
Must be quality minded and self-motivated
Responsibilities
Produce coordinated mechanical pipe and/or plumbing plans for installation on commercial projects.
Produce pipe fabrication spool drawings and material lists from coordinated piping model for fabrication department.
Produce layout points for hanger and core hole locations for plumbing and mechanical piping systems.
Produce mechanical pipe and plumbing record drawings for use in closeout of project.
Work with project foreman throughout construction phase to resolve unseen issues and incorporate changes to contract scope.
