Print Operator Lead

*Job Title: Machine / Print Operator Lead*

*Location: Lynnfield, MA 01940*

*Duration: 3 Months Contract*

The Insert Machine Lead is responsible for ensuring that production goals are met, and print files are inserted in priority order on their assigned machines.

*Duties / Responsibilities*

· Organize tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established departmental procedures.

· Prioritize files to insert on the most productive and cost-effective inserter based upon the job specifications.

· Coordinate with material handling to ensure each job has enough of the correct inventory.

· Communicate with and motivate insert operators to meet production targets.

· Continually measure production output and compare to targets.

· Communicate production numbers to Supervisor/Scheduling/Manager throughout the shift.

· Continually monitor inserted output for quality.

· Train operators on a variety of inserters to allow for flexibility.

· Set up equipment to ensure documents are processed correctly.

· Communicate with vendor technicians on equipment problems.

· Ensure that completed jobs are scanned out and keep systems updated.

· Document maintenance and job activities in log.

· Assist in reconciling jobs.

· Cross train on multiple inserters for vacation coverage - Roll and Cut sheet.

· Communicate pertinent information to co-workers, internal contacts, technicians, and management in a clear and concise manner.

· Operate inserters as needed.

· Miscellaneous duties to help achieve its goals.

*Required Skills / Abilities*

· Ability to analyze and compare documents and make adjustments to production jobs.

· Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

· Organizational skills; decision-making skills.

· Ability to troubleshoot problems and make necessary adjustments.

· Ability to work as an effective team member and motivate staff.

· Quality, production, and customer focused.

· Results driven.

*Physical Requirements*

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to stand up to 10 hours each day.

· Periodic physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.

*Typical Day*

Shift Huddle-(5 to 10 minutes)

Participate/Lead Start of shift huddle

Take attendance

Assign staff to machines.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour
