Associate Producer (Part-Time) WESH 2/CW18, the Hearst-owned NBC affiliate in the Orlando market, is opening for an ambitious, hardworking Part-Time Associate Producer to work in our newsroom. Location: Altamonte Springs, FLSalary: $25,000 - $40,000 Responsibilities Researching and writing stories for our newscasts and digital platformsAssist producers and reporters with researchHelp prepare and develop news rundownWork alongside and communicate effectively with assignment editors, producers, reporters, photographers, editors, production staff and news managersTranscribe video and interviews, select sound bites and build graphicsUnderstand social media and be able to produce content on our digital platforms.Making follow up calls and beat callsOperate the TeleprompterOther duties as assigned Requirements Strong written and verbal communication skillsSolid news judgment and passion for newsAbility to manage multiple projectsAbility to remain calm under pressureAbility to work on deadlinesAbility to work in a team environmentKnowledge of ENPS is a plusFamiliarity with the Orlando DMAWork varied hours, holidays, overnights, weekends and during severe weather situations as needed and/or scheduledRelated military experience will be considered Diversity Statement At Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
