As aDental Assistant you will:+ Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies+ Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays+ Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures+ Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.)+ Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed+ Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies+ Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models+ Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient+ Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staffIn addition, this position will also assist with the front office duties as needed.Education and Experience:+ High school diploma or equivalent+ Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program or dental assistant experience preferred+ Previous customer service or office experience+ Proficiency or the ability to become proficient indental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.+ Strong verbal and written communication skills+ Foster a positive attitude and be a team playerPatient Care Hours:Monday through Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pmOccasional Fridays8:00am - 12:00pm as neededPowered by JazzHR
