Speech Language Pathologist Fellow - Special Education - School Year 2025-2026 Join to apply for the Speech Language Pathologist Fellow - Special Education - School Year 2025-2026 role at Spring Branch ISD Job Title Speech Language Pathologist Fellow Reports To Building Principal; the Supervisor for Speech Language Pathology Services; SLP supervisor for Internship (as assigned) and the Director of Special Education Classification Professional Wage/Hour Status Exempt Days 188 Salary See Compensation Plan for Administrative/Professional Pay Plan, Pay Grade 104 Contract Non-Chapter 21 Date Revised 11/20/2025 Primary Purpose Responsible for the following duties to be implemented under the supervision of an ASHA certified and licensed speech-language pathologist according to Texas State Board of Examiners regulations and American Speech‑Language Hearing Association Guidelines for supervision of a Speech‑Language Pathology Intern. Qualifications / Skills Education / Certification Valid Texas License as a Speech‑Language Pathology Intern. Passing score on the Praxis examination (preferred). Special Knowledge / Skills Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in the effective use of technology. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior. Major Duties and Responsibilities Assessment Schedule, plan and administer appropriate assessment strategies for evaluating students for communication disorders. Prepare written assessment reports according to district guidelines and timelines in collaboration with other professionals. Provide consultation to students to identify potential speech/language impairments and provide strategies to support student learning and communication skills. Intervention Plan and implement appropriate intervention strategies for communication disorders utilizing flexible models of service delivery and intervention. Provide consultation for regular and special education teachers and staff to identify strategies to support and facilitate student learning and communication skills. Collaborate with bilingual special education assistants for provision of intervention for Spanish speaking students. ARD Facilitation Schedule, coordinate with staff and parents, and facilitate Admission, Review and Dismissal meetings according to district guidelines and timelines. Program Management Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule and local board policy in the areas of assessment placement and planning for special education services. Maintain appropriate documentation according to district guidelines and confidentiality procedures. Professional Growth and Development Maintain professional development practices according to district guidelines. Maintain Speech‑Language Pathology Intern license including required professional development. Follow practices as a supervised intern, consistent with district procedures and the Texas Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and American Speech‑Language Hearing Association Guidelines. Assist with in‑service training and professional meetings. Other Travel to sites as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None Equipment Used Computer, ACTIV Board, copy machine and audio visual machines. Working Conditions Mental Demands Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. This position requires regular in‑person interaction with the public. Physical Demands Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.
