OverviewHope For Youth is seeking a CPP Therapist for its Intensive Prevention Services Program to Nassau County in collaboration with the Nassau County Department of Social Services. This program, called HEART — Helping Enhance Attachments & Remain Together, assists with applying Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to families with children from birth through age 6 who have experienced trauma. This is a full-time position with a 35-hour workweek and a flexible/hybrid schedule.ResponsibilitiesFunction within the Agency's policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and program guides.Support the child/family by providing knowledge, skills, and tools to achieve optimal family functioning.Carry a caseload of up to 12 families.Achieve outcomes as outlined in the program guide/narrative.Flexible schedule to accommodate the program.Participate in treatment team, case review, and other meetings; work collaboratively with referral resources and any other agency working with the family and the court.Work as part of an interdisciplinary team and provide support for other projects and locations; travel as needed.Perform other duties necessary to meet the needs of clients, the program, Hope for Youth, and regulatory obligations.QualificationsMaster's Degree and Licensure Required (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT).Minimum of one year of experience with Child Welfare and foster care; knowledge in early childhood mental health, adult mental health, trauma-informed assessment and treatment is preferred.Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills; knowledge of child serving systems.A valid NYS driver's license in good standing; computer literacy; ability to complete documentation in a timely manner.English/Spanish-speaking preferred; physical ability to read/write reports, walk/stand/sit for prolonged periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs; must have reliable vehicle and drive as needed.Additional InformationCPP training will be provided if not already trained.
