JOB TITLE: Azure Cloud Optimization Engineer
JOB LOCATION: Hicksville, NY (Remote but hybrid for occasional meetings)
WAGE RANGE*: $70-80/hr.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

•Strong technical expertise in Azure, including proficiency with cloud services and management tools
•Hands-on experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools such as Azure Cost Manager and Azure Advisor.
•Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, best practices, and security standards
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify optimization opportunities
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

JOB DESCRIPTION:

•The Cloud Optimization Engineer will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of the cloud infrastructure and services
•This includes identifying opportunities for optimization, implementing cost-saving measures, and continuously monitoring and improving our cloud resources
•The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, infrastructure optimization, and cost management, as well as hands-on experience with Azure
•Analyze cloud usage and spending patterns to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings
•Develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud resources, including rightsizing instances, leveraging instance reservations and Savings Plans, and optimizing cloud storage and networking configurations
•Monitor cloud Infrastructure performance and utilization, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottle necks and inefficiencies
•Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud provisioning, deployment, and management processes
•Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure cloud resources are aligned with application requirements and performance goals
•Stay current with cloud technology trends, best practices, and cost optimization strategies, and make recommendations for improvement
•Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on cloud optimization best practices and tools
•Prepare and present reports and recommendations to management on cloud optimization initiatives and cost savings opportunities
•Assist the Cloud Infrastructure team on tasks pertaining to that team
