The Mission
The Leidos Defense Group provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Solutions for Defense include enterprise and mission IT, large-scale intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial and data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence analysis and operations support. Our team is solving the world’s toughest security challenges for customers with “can’t fail” missions. From scanning for illicit material at ports and borders to predicting future events and instability up to five years in advance, our products help customers make the world safer.
The Challenge:
- Prepare accurate and detailed designs, free-form surface models, and/or drawings based on concept sketches, photographs, scans, or clearly stated functional requirements.
- Work closely with our clients, naval architects, engineers, and design team members to produce high-quality, detailed ship design products and drawings.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Associate's Degree or two (2) years of relevant experience in lieu of an Associate's Degree.
- Five (5) + years of experience translating specification requirements and incorporating standards, requirements, design practices, and techniques into detailed ship design, drawings, and other finished design products distributive ship electrical systems.
- Electrical Design experience in Naval and/or commercial Shipbuilding programs.
- Experience with PDF Editing Programs (Bluebeam Preferred).
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD 2014 or later is required.
- Proficiency in 3-D modeling is required.
- Experience with ShipConstructor is required.
- Knowledge of standards and regulatory body requirements is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting methods, procedures, and techniques.

- Ability to work some overtime as needed.
- Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong time management and organization skills as an independent contributor.

While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
Pay Range:Pay Range -The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
