OverviewCollaborative Care Psychiatrist (Florida) - Part TimeJanus Healthcare Partners (Janus) is transforming the treatment of mental health conditions through the gold-standard Collaborative Care model. Our model ensures that individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges get access to the care they need while supporting primary care providers with high-quality integrated services. Founded by leaders with a track record of innovation and growth in the behavioral health industry, Janus is implementing its differentiated model with a focus on value-based care across patient populations with a range of behavioral health and chronic condition comorbidities.ResponsibilitiesConduct regular caseload consultations through systematic case review with behavioral health care managers, typically on a weekly basis with each care manager. Focus on patients who are new to the caseload or not progressing as expected, while prioritizing a population-based approach. Caseload reviews can be conducted via telephone, video, or in-person meetings.Work with behavioral health care managers to oversee the status and population health of assigned patients. Use a registry to track and prioritize all assigned patients for case review and treatment adjustment.Provide prompt treatment recommendations and adjustments during case reviews or ad hoc consultations, delivering recommendations within 24 hours of consultation. This may include medication suggestions and other interventions.Provide periodic one-time clinical evaluations for diagnostic clarification or complex treatment planning for a small segment of caseloads.Offer guidance on treatment options for patients requiring more intensive or specialized mental health care. Support provision of treatment within the medical setting until patients can engage in specialized care.Clearly communicate limitations of case review consultations and treatment recommendations if the patient is not evaluated in person.Be accessible for occasional ad hoc telephone consultations to primary care providers and other healthcare professionals, especially for highly complex cases.Support the service training of behavioral health care managers to ensure fidelity to the model, compliance with contract, license, and program objectives, and training on current modalities deployed through the clinical EHR. Develop and deliver in-service training for primary care-based providers and staff regarding recognition and treatment of behavioral health conditions in primary care.Oversee clinical performance and outcomes, reporting requirements, and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations to meet program goals.Promote cultural competency and ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment; be sensitive to the service population’s culture and socioeconomic characteristics.Engage in development of medical policies and procedures, documentation of services to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.Oversee clinical effectiveness and engage in the design, development, and delivery of new programs.Ensure clinical programs meet contracts and agency revenue and productivity standards.Liaison with funding sources and committees; attend required meetings. Conduct public relations efforts. May require visits to participating clinics.Remain knowledgeable regarding current issues related to integrated care and Collaborative Care; stay informed on legislative and licensing issues.Execute additional responsibilities as required by Janus Healthcare management.QualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.Successful completion of the FLEX examinations.Unrestricted current license in psychiatry in Florida; willing and able to obtain license in the state of practice; no barriers to licensure.Minimum of three years involving substantial direct patient care; preferred experience with older adults, geriatric psychiatry, and/or Medicare populations with chronic medical and behavioral health challenges.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.Excellent communication skills; positive, flexible, and solution-focused attitude.Ability to synthesize medical and psychiatric data quickly and provide evidence-based clinical recommendations.Position is remote; services may be provided telephonically or via video. Stable high-speed internet is expected.Proficiency in operating computer systems and Microsoft software applications.American Psychiatric Association training and/or prior experience in a collaborative care setting is preferred, but not required.SchedulePrimary RemotePart-time - up to 20 hoursCompensation$160,000 - $225,000 full-time equivalent based on experience and prorated based on FTERemote work environmentTime Off BenefitsEqual OpportunityWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
