OverviewSenior Director, Finance and Operations - On Site, Walla Walla, WA. This is an on-site position based in Walla Walla, Washington. YWCA Walla Walla is seeking a mission-driven and experienced Senior Director of Finance and Operations to join our leadership team. This role serves as a strategic thought partner to the Interim Executive Director and collaborates closely with Department Directors and Leads. The person in this position will be hands-on, team-oriented, and provide leadership in finance, budgeting, HR, administration, IT, and facilities. Applications submitted without a cover letter may not be reviewed.Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yrPrimary ResponsibilitiesFinancial ManagementAnalyze and present financial reports for the Interim Executive Director and Board Executive Committee in an accurate and timely mannerClearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements and oversee all financial, project/program, and grant accountingCoordinate and lead the annual audit process; assess and implement improvements to ensure compliance and alignment with best practicesOversee the organization's budgeting and planning process; monitor progress and changesPropose and implement business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department's policy and procedure manualManage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll, including benefits, retirement, and quarterly payroll reportingOversee contract reimbursement billings and grant complianceManage farm operations in collaboration with external partnersAssist as needed with day-to-day finance functions such as deposits, reimbursements, and tracking checksHuman ResourcesSupport and further develop the organization's HR and administrative infrastructureImprove personnel policies, performance evaluation, benefits, and training programsStandardize and streamline onboarding and hiring processesManage contractor support as needed for HR functionsFacilities & TechnologyOversee the administrative operations and special projects related to facilities and IT, working closely with the Facilities Director and IT consultantSupport building maintenance, cleaning, vendor management, and securityPromote and implement technology tools to support workplace efficiencyGeneral ResponsibilitiesFoster a collaborative and mission-aligned cultureMaintain a workplace that respects diversity and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, or disabilityDevelop and maintain positive rapport with coworkers, clients, volunteers, and stakeholdersActively participate in staff meetings, respond to team needs in a timely manner, and contribute to a positive, connected cultureComplete assigned tasks accurately and on timePerform additional duties related to the role as neededRequirementsIdeal Experience, Competencies, & QualitiesRelevant education and/or experience may be substituted for formal qualifications. Strong commitment to the YWCA WW's mission.Minimum QualificationsFive years of professional experience in financial management, operations, or human resourcesExperience preparing financial reports and managing budgetsPreferred QualificationsPrior supervisory experience, ideally managing small cross-functional teamsExperience in nonprofit finance, working with a Board of Directors, and grant complianceFamiliarity with accounting software (MIP preferred)Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skillsAbility to communicate effectively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholdersUnderstanding technology and cybersecurity best practices and vendor relationshipsBenefitsAnticipated salary is $80,000-$100,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
