This hospital has earned numerous awards for units throughout their facility, including MAGNET Status.  In addition, this 200+ bed hospital is accredited in many areas, but notably has a glowing record in their Critical Care Services.  The critical care department received performance achievement awards from the American College of Cardiology as well as other accolades. The PICU Registered Nurse will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Pacific Northwest.

 

The PICU Registered Nurse will report directly to the Pediatric ICU Manager. Supported by two Critical Care Services tenured charge nurses and a Supervisor this person will join a fantastic team of dedicated nurses willing to help them learn and grow.

 

The PICU Registered Nurse will assess, plan, and coordinate personalized care for patients. The care provided by the PICU Registered Nurse must be individualized, with age and developmental needs taken into consideration. The PICU Registered Nurse must be able to adhere to departmental policies and procedures. The position also requires collaboration with team members, other RNs, and Physicians to be able to provide the best care and outcomes possible. Critical thinking skills are a necessity.  The PICU Registered Nurse will also have opportunities to develop and grow their own careers through education and quality improvement initiatives while being supported and mentored by fantastic leaders and other staff members. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of PICU RN experience.

 

The Seattle area is known for its breathtaking view of the Puget Sound as well as some of the best coffee in the country.  This hospital is close to the downtown area, housing some of the best Restaurants and ample opportunity for exploring nightlife if the PICU Registered Nurse is a lover of city living.  If the PICU Registered Nurse is someone who loves nature, there are loads of hiking trails, places to kayak, and activities for nature adventurers of all types.  Seattle is perfectly situated in the Pacific Northwest, making it easily accessible to multiple other cities to visit and the international airport, and home of the University of Washington, the Mariners and the Seattle Seahawks.    

 

The PICU Registered Nurse role is being offered a competitive salary in addition to a generous benefits package and sign on bonus.
