Datacenter Technician

This is a 6 month contract to hire role paying up to 34/hour.

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team at their Data Center. This person will be responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and responding to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Areas include: electrical, mechanical and building monitoring and control. · Ensure that facilities problems are identified and repaired quickly · Perform routine maintenance tasks with high level of efficiency · Provide systems availability monitoring and reporting · Work directly with client and/or support staff to identify and troubleshoot as necessary to isolate the root cause of problems to include standing, bending, and kneeling as needed to perform this task. · Provide oversight of contractors and service providers in the data center as needed. · Conduct daily inspections of all data center infrastructure equipment · Ensure Computerized Maintenance Management System data accuracy · As a member of an on-call rotation provide emergency response as needed. · Utilize the Building Automation System to provide detailed trending reports · Manage airflow within the Data Center · Take part in daily and weekly meetings with the client to facilitate proper communications of upcoming activities · Vendor contract management · Assist Security team with maintaining a secure Tier III facility

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

3-5 years of Data Center Experience (Mechanical/HVAC and electrical)
