Job Summary Cardiac Device Specialist responsible for technical and clinical services in the Electrophysiology ambulatory (outpatient) setting. Perform Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) interrogations, arrhythmia interpretation, diagnostics, programming, and reporting to an EP provider. Manage patient diagnostics in manufacturer remote monitoring websites, EMR data entry, maintain data integrity, and direct to EP providers when appropriate. Support CIED management under the direction of a supervising EP provider, Lead Cardiac Device Specialist, or EP Manager. Responsibilities Perform CIED interrogations and arrhythmia interpretation of ECG and measured data. Evaluate arrhythmia burden, interpret diagnostics, and program cardiac devices. Manage patient diagnostics in manufacturer remote monitoring websites and analyze transmission data. Enter data in the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain data integrity with the system. Exercise judgment to direct issues to EP providers when appropriate. Support CIED management under the supervision of an EP provider, Lead Cardiac Device Specialist, or EP Manager. Qualifications Minimum education required: Certificate of completion from an approved cardiac device technical school that provides formal training in cardiac pacing, defibrillation, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and electrophysiology, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of cardiac pacing or electrophysiology in an ambulatory (outpatient) setting. Minimum experience required: One year of EP clinical experience as a Cardiac Device Specialist. Certifications preferred: Certified Clinical Device Specialist (CCDS) through Heart Rhythm Society within 24 months of hire; CCDS certification by International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE); Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).
