LABORATORY MANAGER, School of Medicine, Microbiology Full-Time / Regular position at Boston University Medical Campus. Grade 46. Salary range $55,300 - $69,700. Responsibilities Serve as laboratory group manager and coordinator for Connor and Davey laboratories. Provide technical and administrative expertise and supervise, guide, and train lab personnel (8-12 employees) on a regular basis. Manage data production, curation, storage, and distribution of biological samples within each lab. Maintain and oversee shared lab resources, workspaces, and databases, and ensure laboratory safety compliance. Communicate issues and progress weekly and recommend exceptions to policy and procedure as needed. Apply independent judgment in determining how work is performed and provide training/supervising/guidance to other lab personnel. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of related experience. Experience in laboratory wet-lab experiments and laboratory management duties. Technical experience in cellular/molecular sample preparation and experimental techniques. Experience working in teams and supervising and mentoring others in a laboratory setting. Strong time management skills and independent judgment.
