Nurse Coordinator

Job Summary
The Nurse Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient transfers within the Avera McKennan Hospital system. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including nursing departments, outlying facilities, and physicians, to facilitate efficient patient movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient transfers to the most appropriate Avera hospital within the system
- Collaborate with the Bed Placement Coordinator and nursing departments to ensure timely patient placement
- Communicate with physicians and outlying facilities to facilitate efficient patient movement
- Monitor patient transfers and identify potential delays in care
Requirements
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program
- Minimum of two years nursing experience
- Previous patient placement and logistics experience preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly rate of $48.75 per hour
- Rotating day/night shifts with every third weekend and holiday
