The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine (OUCM) Department of Internal Medicine seeks an accomplished academic endocrinologist to lead the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism. This leader will guide a division entering a new era of expansion in clinical care, research, and education. The division collaborates closely with the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, a nationally recognized institute that advances discovery and improves outcomes in diabetes and metabolic diseases. The division is positioned to expand its reach and impact across Oklahoma and beyond.The College of Medicine anchors the OU Health Campus and serves as the academic home of OU Health, Oklahoma’s flagship comprehensive academic health system. Together, the College and OU Health are advancing an ambitious plan to build a top-tier integrated academic health center, strengthen national prominence, expand the healthcare workforce, and reduce health disparities statewide. As part of this vision, OUCM is launching Project 150, an initiative to recruit 150 new faculty and accelerate biomedical research excellence.Internal Medicine is the College’s largest department, with more than 200 faculty across 11 divisions and strong residency and fellowship programs. The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism includes 10 faculty members, 5 staff members, and 5 fellows. Philanthropic investment and institutional support enable continued program development, expanded clinical access, growth in clinical trials, and enhanced translational research.The director will foster interdisciplinary collaboration across the campus and with community partners to advance endocrine and metabolic health statewide. Key priorities include expanding access to care across Oklahoma, building innovative research programs, recruiting and developing faculty, and supporting outstanding education and training.Applicants should be board-certified in endocrinology, eligible for appointment as associate professor or professor, and bring a record of achievement in clinical, research, and educational leadership.The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine has retained Isaacson, Miller to support this search.
