Mass General Brigham seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit role in Belmont, Massachusetts.
**Job Summary** We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic Cardiac PCU environment. **Job Description** * **Specialty:** Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit * **Discipline:** RN * **Duration:** Ongoing * **Hours:** 36 hours per week * **Shift:** 12 hours, nights * **Employment Type:** Staff The Registered Nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care. **Requirements** * Current MA RN license required * Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience * Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills required * Telemetry experience preferred * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required * Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred * Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting * 1 year Med/Surg experience required, unless otherwise noted in job posting * Critical care experience preferred * Expected to train to fill step-down role within 1st 6 months **Certifications and/or Registrations** * CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment * Evidence of continued education and professional development * Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred * Telemetry training required within the first year of employment **Physical Environment** * The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation. * Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements. * Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc. * RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients. **Physical Standards of Job Description** * Constantly – 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity * Frequently – 25% to 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity * Occasionally – 5% to 25% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity * Rarely – under 5% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity * N/A – not applicable **Benefits** * Medical benefits * Dental benefits * Vision benefits * Life insurance * Employee assistance programs **About Mass General Brigham** Mass General Brigham is a leading healthcare system that provides high-quality, safe, and accessible care to patients and communities.
