Base Pay Range $50,000.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr Title: Admission DirectorReports to: Administrator Job Responsibilities Plan, organize, develop, and operate the Admission Department in compliance with regulations and facility policy. Screen resident referrals and verify eligibility before admission. Obtain and document required agreements and forms at admission for contractual and financial compliance. Coordinate with Corporate Accounts Receivable for timely collection of resident payments. Develop relationships with feeder hospitals and community agencies to drive admissions and census. Promote the facility through business development activities. Qualifications Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (marketing, finance, healthcare/business management) or 2 years of direct experience. Preferred knowledge of long‑term care. Effective communication, adaptability to changes, and delegation skills. Ability to work independently and manage diverse external contacts with tact and discretion. Strong multitasking, deadline‑meeting, and analytical thinking. Positive customer service and respectful attitude. Technology oriented with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and EMR systems. Preferred experience with insurance portals. Physical Requirements Ability to move intermittently throughout the day and sit at a desk. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, demanding environment. Emotional maturity to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotional individuals. Occasional lifting of supplies and equipment. Good general health; may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions. Essential Functions Review and verify resident referral eligibility and acceptance criteria. Complete required offender registry verifications and initiate background checks. Inform private pay residents about deposit and pre‑payment requirements. Ensure completeness of resident and representative information. Accept reservations for accommodations accurately and organized. Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to analyze referrals and ensure medical fit. Notify referring agencies of admission outcomes. Co‑ordinate room assignments with Administrator and nursing department. Communicate admissions, discharges, or transfers to departments promptly. Implement new resident greeting and escort processes. Explain facility philosophy, policies, and procedures to new residents and representatives. Maintain accurate census within the EMR. Schedule and obtain signed admission agreements within 72 hours. Assist other departments in obtaining required documents. Assess financial eligibility prior to admission to ensure reimbursement. Work with corporate team on reimbursement issues and collection partnerships. Monitor AR Aging report and take timely action on past‑due accounts. Analyze marketing data and collaborate on census development programs. Maintain open communication with transferring agencies as a liaison. Promote customer service throughout the facility via the Ambassador Program. Participate in Quality Assurance and Improvement initiatives. Observe and implement all facility policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned.
