Senior Power Structuring Analyst - Director, Gas and Power Recruitment at Aurex Group We’re seeking an experienced Senior Power Structuring Analyst to join a platform with physical assets. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, quantitative modeling, and deal structuring — ideal for someone with experience in market or quantitative risk who wants to move closer to the front office. Role Responsibilities Support the design and valuation of structured power transactions, including tolling agreements, heat rate call options, and other customized commercial products Build and refine analytical models Evaluate transaction value, risk exposure, and asset performance Collaborate with origination, trading, and risk teams Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis on market prices, heat rates, and dispatch economics for fossil-fueled generation assets Preferred Experience 3–7 years of experience in power markets, market or quantitative risk, or energy trading fundamentals. Exposure to thermal or fossil-fueled power plants — understanding of dispatch economics, heat rates, and capacity value preferred. Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities; proficiency in Excel and at least one programming or modeling tool (Python, R, or SQL). Familiarity with structured products, stochastic modeling, or derivative valuation in the context of energy markets (e.g., tolling, HRCOs, swaps, or options). Prior experience working directly with front office trading and origination teams.
