The SNA works closely with the CTO and serves as a subject matter expert (SME), possessing a broad knowledgebase with a focus on strategic technologies including Cisco Networking technologies (LAN, WAN, Data Center, VoIP, Wireless, and Security), Palo Alto, NetScaler, and similar non-Cisco technologies. Responsible for design, documentation, and administration of the end-to-end network environment.Main Responsibilities:Support a highly available Cisco Medical Grade NetworkSupport a highly available Cisco Call Manager telephony infrastructureSupport wireless infrastructure and emerging 802.11 standardsProactively configure and maintain firmware for all network devicesMonitor and ensure network configuration backupsPerform daily monitoring of the network environmentSecures the environment via patching, MFA, threat prevention, detection, and remediationIdentify and resolve network related problems and performance issuesSupport change control and change requests received for the network environmentResearch new technologies, recommend enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize the network environmentDocument policies and procedures to support the network environment and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies (ITIL)Interface with users, external vendors, and customers as necessaryCoordinate and collaborate with other Information Technology TeamsAbility to lead a project team and mentor others via best practicesAbility to work nights and weekends as required and participates in on-call rotationEducation/Experience:Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience) in computer science or related field10+ years’ experience in Information Technology, preferably in a progressive healthcare environmentKnowledge (Strongly Preferred):Understanding of PRI, T1, POTS, MetroE and Dark FiberExperience supporting structured cabling (CAT6/7 and OM3/4)Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLSM and Route SummarizationCDP, LLDP, and EtherChannel (LACP/PAGP)First hop protection mechanisms HSRP, VRRP and GLBPRSTP, BPDUGuard, UDLD, DHCP Snooping, Port Security, DAI and 802.1XStatic and dynamic routing protocols such as RIP2, OSPF, BGP and EIGRP.Wireless standards - 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 11i, 11e, WPA2/3, EAP, PEAPCisco wireless controllers, CAPWAP, Clean Air, Location, and monitoringAAA via RADIUS and TACACSMulticast Routing (PIM-Sparse, IGMP, Anycast RP and MSDP)Cisco Call Manager based voice infrastructure (CUCM, CUC, UCCX, SRST, CME, CUE)Cisco UCS and MDS connectivity best practicesMPLS, VPLS, LDP, and VRFCisco and Palo Alto multi-tenant security system design and implementationLoad balancing and proxy cachingAntivirus and host-based securityUnderstanding of Windows administrationUnderstanding of Microsoft server and related connectivity (DHCP/DNS/WINS)Understanding of ESXi and related connectivityUnderstanding of high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, RTO, RPO.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong team player – collaborates well with others; applies knowledge to coach and mentor othersExcellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize own workCisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, and VMware certifications a plusWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
