The hospital‑based Advanced Practitioner position is in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics – Pediatric Hospital Medicine at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Tampa, FL. Responsibilities Provide direct medical care to patients in a hospital setting, including diagnosis, treatment, and prescription of care. Document all orders, procedures, and progress notes in the patient’s medical record. Participate in Quality Assurance / Improvement projects. Provide clinical teaching to students or residents as needed. Support teaching, research, and service activities as required by the university and chair. Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent professional experience. Graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant academic program and certification per Florida statutes (Nurse Practitioners Act or Physician Assistant Act). Board certified/eligible and meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor. Eligible for Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
