In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking an Animal Care Technician I to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in Seattle, WA. As the Animal Care Technician I, you will provide the highest animal welfare standards and care, in addition to maintaining vivarium cleanliness. Work schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Additional Responsibilities Ensure high standards of animal welfare are met. Provide food, water and clean housing to animals according to applicable SOPs. Perform routine animal health observations. Operate washer for cleaning and sanitizing animal cage supplies, autoclave for sterilizing equipment. Monitor temperature and humidity, reporting any issues to supervisor or manager. Receive, unpack, and house animals according to SOP and Animal Receiving Form. Understand proper room entry order and adhere to biosafety requirements. Maintain accurate records and organize supply areas. Maintain vivarium cleanliness and waste removal in accordance with applicable SOPs. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 0–6 months directly related laboratory animal experience in a laboratory animal facility. Preferred Qualifications BS in either animal science or life sciences. AALAS Certification at the ALAT level. Hourly pay range: $20–$22. Salaries vary within the range based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
