Job Description
Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse - Acute Care Nights

Profession: Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours (6:45 pm - 7:15 am)

Experience: Less than 1 year preferred, with completion of an accredited school of nursing required

License: RN (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak English. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies. Excellent time management, evidence-based practice, analytical skills, and strong critical thinking skills. Basic computer skills.

Description:
The RN Clinical Nurse is an essential member of an interdisciplinary team focused on providing high-quality, individualized, and safe patient care. This role operates within a shared governance model and professional practice framework that values evidence-based practices and research.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

- Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Utilize the nursing process to deliver individualized patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes by coordinating care and employing critical thinking skills. Provide patient-centered care reflecting an understanding of cultural diversity and engage patients and their significant others in care plans.

- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ensure safe, quality patient care delivery through effective interdisciplinary communication. Foster a respectful and inclusive clinical environment and support performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.

- Professional Development and Initiative: Engage in ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education. Act as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified nursing workforce and promote a healthy work environment.

- Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promote evidence-based practice and facilitate research and performance improvement activities. Adhere to organizational policies and regulatory standards, contributing to data collection and advancing clinical practice.

- Resources and Support: Plan care across the continuum and participate in developing protocols to achieve best practice outcomes. Support the effective use of resources.

Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all organizational policies and conduct standards.
