Job Title: Controls Design Engineer
Location: New Brighton, MN
Are you a detail-oriented and technically proficient Controls Design Engineer looking to contribute to innovative projects?
We are seeking a skilled Controls Design Engineer to join our team. This position offers a competitive base salary of $70-$130K, commensurate with experience and education.
About the Role:
Electrical Design & Schematics: You will read and interpret contract plans and specifications to create project electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Control System Development: You will develop control narratives for the proper operation of control systems.
Manufacturing Support: You will provide design-related support to the control panel shop during the manufacturing process.
Customer Support: You will offer exceptional service and support to customers during construction and post-commissioning activities.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: You will diagnose errors in specifications or technical problems and determine appropriate solutions.
Technical Documentation: You will produce accurate and timely electrical CAD drawings and generate Bills of Materials (BOM).
Who You Are:
Experienced Engineer: You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a project engineer role or similar, including design, implementation, and project closeout.
Educated Professional: You hold a 2-year electrical engineering degree or have equivalent experience.
Technical Proficiency: You are proficient in electrical CAD software and familiar with wire sizing, conduit routing, panel boards, and instrumentation.
Communication Skills: You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-Oriented & Adaptable: You have strong multitasking abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a willingness to quickly learn about new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD Electrical.
Experience with panel design.
Required Skills:
Ability to read and interpret contract plans and specifications.
Ability to develop control narratives for control systems.
Proficiency in electrical CAD software.
Familiarity with wire sizing, conduit routing, panel boards, and instrumentation.
Compensation & Benefits:
