Position Summary This Executive Director position is in Office of the Attorney General within the Commission On The Status of Women in Tallahassee, Florida. Pay $82,734.00 Annually Qualifications Five (5) years of administrative leadership experience. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Proven track record of building strong personal and business relationships. The Work You Will Do The FCSW is a statutory entity, created in section 14.24, Florida Statutes, consisting of 22 members appointed by various state elected officials. Florida law establishes the FCSW mission and requires specific annual activities. The Commission is charged with studying the changing roles of women in society and reporting its findings annually to the Governor, Cabinet and Legislature and recommending persons to the Governor for consideration for appointment to the Florida Women’s Hall of Fame. The Executive Director is responsible for the execution of the FCSW mission, studying specific conditions relating to the changing and developing roles of women in American society and managing the process by which the FCSW selects nominees to the Florida Women ‘s Hall of Fame. The Executive Director oversees the production of an annual report on the FCSW’s activities. The Executive Director is a Select Exempt Service employee housed within the OAG and subject to the personnel, salary and disciplinary policies and procedures of that office. The Executive Director is responsible for the effective leadership of the programs, staff, and events and daily operations of the Commission. The Executive Director ensures excellent artifacts, social media campaigns and Commission reports are produced across all aspects of its operations. This primarily involves the supervision and coordination of staff and volunteers as well as providing direction and support to the Commission. Key responsibilities include but are limited to: fiscal management; public-facing communications programming; stakeholder engagement; and, staff and operations oversight and direction. The Executive Director will build strong, trusted relationships with Commissioners, state officials, legislators, and other organizations to fulfill the Commission’s statutory mission and duties as set forth in ss. 14.24 F.S., 265.001 F.S., 120.525 F.S., and the Florida Sunshine Laws, including s. 286.012 F.S. OAG employees are paid biweekly. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113, F. S.
