Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team, working out of either our Baltimore or Norfolk office. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 5 to 15 years of experience who are looking to contribute to a variety of exciting projects, including mission‑critical initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for engineering excellence, and a desire to work in a collaborative and flexible environment. Responsibilities Design, analyze, and oversee mechanical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project progress aligns with design intent and quality standards. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams. Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule. Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to maintain best practices in mechanical engineering. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5 to 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering. Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Proven experience working on a variety of projects; mission‑critical project experience is a bonus. Strong proficiency in engineering software and tools. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment with flexibility. Day‑to‑Day Collaborate with team members to develop and refine project designs. Attend project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions. Perform engineering calculations and create detailed documentation. Review and approve technical drawings and specifications. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. Balance multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
