As part of the global Sonepar network, we offer innovative solutions while maintaining strong local roots and a close-knit culture.About the roleWe are hiring an Accounts Payable Representative to join our growing team. You will review all direct customer billings and support branch associates with billing procedures.Compensation: $20.00–$23.00/hourResponsibilitiesAssist branch associates on direct billing procedures.Verify costs on direct customer billings, approve vendor invoices, and process vendor payables.Review selected accounts payable discrepancies and vendor credit/debit memos for proper customer treatment and cost adjustments.Enter sales or cost adjustment orders to correct errors identified by branch or corporate associates.Review vendor statements to identify past‑due or disputed amounts and work with branch associates to resolve issues and vendor inquiries.Provide primary backup and assistance for accounts payable overhead as needed.Review UBAP “Aged Unbilled Stock Receipts” report to ensure invoices and vendor credits are matched appropriately.Review “User Job Queue Trackers” entered by Shared Service AP team and communicate with PO writers for resolution with inaccuracies.Review “Unapproved Payables” report provided by Sonepar Shared Services and reconcile with branches.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent; 2–4 years industry experience or post‑secondary coursework in accounting/bookkeeping.Strong multitasking and time‑management skills.Effective communication and teamwork.Problem‑solving and computer skills.Mathematical and analytical skills; proficiency in data entry and 10‑key pad.Proficient in general PC applications and Microsoft Office.Customer‑service leadership qualities.Ability to interact with all organizational levels.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance plus employer‑paid short‑term and long‑term disability and life insurance.Paid time off and paid holidays.401(k) match.Profit sharing.Tuition reimbursement and employee development.Annual safety shoe reimbursement.Employee discount on products.Access to a variety of trainings for personal development.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementSonepar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
