The Senior Project Manager – HVAC will provide leadership and oversight for large‑scale mechanical projects, with a focus on complex HVAC system delivery. This position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of project management experience in major construction projects, preferably within the aviation and healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage multimillion‑dollar projects, lead cross‑functional teams, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Management Lead the planning and implementation of HVAC projects Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Manage project budgets, including cost forecasting and control. Work with owners and end users Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met. Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations. Team Leadership Lead and motivate project teams, including BIM/VDC, Mechanical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Assign tasks and manage the performance of team members. Provide technical guidance and support as needed. Client Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction. Address and resolve any project‑related issues or disputes. Quality Assurance Ensure that all HVAC installations and systems meet the highest quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and testing of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. Oversee the commissioning and handover process to clients. Risk Management Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that may arise. Implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Documentation And Reporting Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Present regular project updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients. Ensure all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Required Skills, Education, Knowledge, And Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field, desired Experience: Minimum of 10 years progressive project management experience in HVAC/mechanical contracting. Strong portfolio of successfully delivered major projects ($20M+) in aviation and/or healthcare sectors. In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems design, installation, and commissioning. Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams across design, construction, and commissioning phases. Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and client relationship management. Proficient in project management software, scheduling tools, and financial reporting. OSHA certification and PMP preferred. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines. Travel Requirements Frequent travel to project sites is required, including aviation facilities, healthcare campuses, and other major construction sites.
