Physician Assistant - Wellness Center


Position Title: Physician Assistant

Location: Coral Gables, FL

Reports To: Medical Director and Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team at Hydrology Wellness in Coral Gables, FL. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive aesthetic and health care services, focusing on preventive care, wellness, beauty, and chronic disease management.

This role involves direct patient care, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote overall health and well-being. The role also involves working with vendors. We expect a high degree of computer skills and knowledge using an electronic medical records system.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments.

- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.

- Develop and implement personalized care plans.

- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.

2. Preventive Care:

- Provide guidance on diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.

- Conduct health screenings and risk assessments.

- Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance.

3. Collaborative Care:

- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases.

- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers when necessary.

4. Patient Education:

- Educate patients on managing chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension.

- Provide information on wellness programs and resources available at the center.

- Offer counseling on smoking cessation, weight management, and stress reduction.

-Offer therapies directed at beauty such as Morpheus8, laser hair removal, etc

5. Administrative Duties:

- Document patient histories, exam findings, and treatment plans in electronic medical records.

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

- Work on expanding our healthcare infrastructure by collaborating with industry partners.

- Assist in the development and implementation of wellness programs and services.

6. Clinical Procedures:

- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing and wound care.

- Conduct diagnostic tests, including blood draws, EKGs, and urine analysis.

- Perform laser hair removal, Empower feminine wellness therapies, Botox, fillers, etc

7. Health Promotion:

- Organize and participate in community outreach and health education events.

- Develop educational materials and programs to promote healthy living.

- Advocate for patient health and well-being within the community.

8. Professional Development:

- Stay current with medical knowledge and advancements in the field.

- Attend continuing education courses and professional development opportunities.

- Maintain certification and licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

- Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.

- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a wellness or preventive care environment.

- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of primary care and preventive health.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Commitment to patient-centered care and wellness.
