Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications. Provide feedback when necessary.Use proper inspection and measuring techniques for precision parts. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.Setup and operate Grinders (surface/ID/OD), Mills, Lathes, Drill Presses, Parts Cleaning, Basic Ovens for Heat Treating, Band Saws, Jib Hoists. Also, use a variety of standard machinist hand tools as required.Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine & hand tools.Conduct test runs with completed tooling to ensure that parts meet specifications, adjusting as necessary.What you will be doing:Write a statement about what the person will be doing day to day.
