At City Dental, as a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. - Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
- Take quality digital dental x-rays
- Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems (Open Dental)
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Experience:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques
- Strong knowledge of oral health conditions and treatment options
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
