Base pay range $55.00/hr - $65.00/hr Front-End Mobile Developer V | Hybrid in Charlotte, NC | Direct Hire/W2 Only There are no Corp-to-Corp options or Visa Sponsorship available for this position. Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services and digital banking organization, is seeking an experienced Front-End Mobile Developer for a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC. This engineer will play a key role in designing and building the next generation of customer-facing mobile applications used by millions. You’ll help shape mobile architecture, mentor junior developers, and drive feature development using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, and TypeScript in a collaborative Agile environment. Growth opportunities in a stable, forward-thinking financial technology organization. Experience of the Right Candidate 5+ years of professional experience in mobile or front-end development. Deep understanding of modern development patterns such as functional programming, OOP, and MVVM. Experience building cross-platform, responsive mobile applications. Hands‑on experience with Git‑based version control and Agile methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with native mobile frameworks (Kotlin, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose). Familiarity with web accessibility (508 compliance) and performance optimization. Experience integrating REST APIs, testing with Jest/Mocha, and using build tools such as Webpack or Gulp. Strong communication and leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and innovation. Responsibilities of the Right Candidate Lead the design, development, and implementation of new mobile features. Collaborate with UX, product, and API teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences. Participate in peer code reviews and maintain clean, maintainable code. Mentor junior developers and help establish front‑end best practices. Contribute to Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and provide technical direction in architecture discussions. Ensure scalability, performance, and quality across mobile platforms.
