Reports To: Onsite Supervision



SUMMARY
CWI is a leader in railroad systems and services and is seeking a pipe welder/ fitter. Duties include but not limited to maintenance, installation, diagnostics and repair of railroad utility equipment. Must have the ability to make field pipe welds on carbon and stainless steel using an arc welding machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Work Description

General installation and repairs of railroad utility equipment (fuel, lube oil, water, and sanding equipment)

Prerequisites for Qualified Candidates

Applicants must have a pipe welding background. Trade school or equivalent.
Candidates most have the ability to climb vertical tank ladders, up to 50'
Clean Driving Record
Ability to travel and remain away from home for extended periods
Must show ability to work safely in an industrial environment
Must have a working knowledge of various stages of metal fabrication
Must have a minimum of (2) years experience in field pipe welding and fabrication

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
(2) years pipe welding experience, trade school degree or equivalent.
