The work is within the framework of equity strategies based on free cash flow methodology blending fundamental and quantitative insights. Depth & Scope Researches, analyzes, and recommends investment ideas for inclusion in Epoch's strategies. Contributes ideas to other strategies as appropriate. Generates and researches investment candidates based on experience and expertise. Researches candidates as directed by portfolio manager or via quantitative screening. Participates in investment research meetings, sharing knowledge, and collaborating with colleagues. Engages in marketing and client service activities including presentations, meetings, and calls with clients, prospects, and consultants. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA preferred. Track record of success in assigned strategy, sector, and/or geography utilizing free cash flow methodology. Strong skills in financial modeling and research. Willingness to research ideas in other sectors/geographies. Ability to combine macro/global understanding with fundamental stock‑picking. Self‑starter with minimal supervision and strong feedback to portfolio managers. Team player contributing across strategies. Strong verbal and written presentation skills. Leadership potential for future responsibilities. Highly motivated and intellectually curious. Comprehensive experience analyzing securities in assigned area. Preferred Qualifications Candidates without direct finance experience are encouraged to apply if actively pursuing the CFA designation. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields. Experience 3–7 years in quantitative research, data visualization, or financial analytics (preferably in asset management or hedge funds). Candidates without direct finance experience are encouraged if pursuing the CFA designation. Technical Skills Strong programming in Python (preferred) or R. Proficiency with visualization tools (Dash, Power BI, Plotly, Streamlit, Tableau). SQL and data integration experience. Familiarity with natural language processing and cloud development (Azure strongly preferred). Soft Skills Intellectual curiosity and problem‑solving mindset. Strong attention to detail. Collaborative mindset and clear technical communication. Customer Accountabilities Supports the bank’s customer service strategy. Considers impact of advice on customers, employees, and stakeholders.
