Base pay range $225,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from CBIZ Talent Solutions Job Title: Vice President of Land Acquisition (HOMEBUILDING) Location: Central Florida Reports To: Executive Team Job Overview Our Client is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Land Acquisition to lead the land acquisition strategy and drive growth in the competitive Central Florida homebuilding market. This executive will oversee the full land acquisition lifecycle—from sourcing and underwriting to negotiation and closing—ensuring all transactions support profitability, strategic market positioning, and long-term success. The VP will work closely with the executive team to align all acquisitions with company objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute annual land acquisition strategies. Identify and evaluate land opportunities through broker outreach and market analysis. Negotiate terms, oversee due diligence, and close transactions. Direct financial modeling and project feasibility assessments. Build and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, and local officials. Lead and mentor a team, fostering accountability and results. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years in land acquisition, with 5+ in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Florida’s entitlement and permitting processes. Proven success negotiating and closing profitable land deals. Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
